Mechanism elucidation and development of high-level monitoring and prediction technology for severeextreme weather phenomena such as typhoons, torrential rain, heavy snowfall, tornadoes and damaging winds are conducted using state-of-the-art observation and analysis along with high-accuracy numerical prediction. This helps to mitigate the effects of disasters related to such meteorological conditions.
