Second Laboratory
Summary Account
The laboratory is in charge of research on the detailed structure and formation mechanisms of severe weather, such as torrential rain, heavy snowfall, tornadoes and damaging winds, using the state-of-the-art instruments (e.g., microwave radiometer) and high-resolution numerical models. We also aim to improve the forecasting techniques for severe weather by using the advanced numerical prediction.
