Research on Earth System Modeling suitable for hierarchical structure of weather/climate phenomena

We conduct comprehensive studies on numerical modeling of the Earth System including atmosphere, ocean, land, snow/ice, trace gases/aerosols and other components. We aim to construct an earth system model suitable for hierarchical structure of weather/climate phenomena, ranging from long-term variations at the global scale to short-term variations at regional scales. Our goals are to enhance the accuracy of numerical prediction models used for global warming projections, seasonal forecasting, ocean monitoring and forecasting, and atmosphere trace gases/aerosols monitoring and forecasting, as well as severe weather forecasting such as typhoons and heavy rainfall.
