Summary Account

We are working on studies to monitor volcanic activity and signal of eruptions through chemical techniques.
In our study, chemical and stable isotopic ratio of volcanic fluid, including fumarolic gases and thermal waters, are repeatedly analyzed, and the factors of their change are analyzed in combination with geophysical observations such as crustal deformation data. We are also addressing the observation of soil gas flux and the chemical composition of volcanic gases using optical and chemical sensors.
