OUTLINE of Research

PURPOSES
  • Construction of decision supporting systems for disaster prevention in South East Asia based on the high-resolution numerical weather prediction.
  • Promotion of an international research network for prevention and mitigation of meteorological disasters in Southeast Asia.


  • CONTENTS
    (a)Down-scale forecast experimnts of meteorological phenomena in tropics with mesoscale models.
    (b)Development of data assimilation systems and impact experiments of adaptive observational data.
    (c)Construction of integrated databases and dicision supporting systems.
    (d)Hosting workshops to promote international technical collaboration.
