“The international workshop on chemical reference materials for oceanographic observations: Nutrients, DIC and so on”will be held at TSUKUBA, JAPAN to review current status of available chemical reference materials for oceanographic observations and establish collaborations to proceed the use/developments of chemical reference materials. I have been proposing an “International Nutrients Scale System (INSS) in seawater” to establish comparability of nutrients data in the world ocean. In this workshop, we will also discuss on the INSS. The comparability and tracerbility on the nutrients data in the world ocean are the basic issues and those becomes more important in the studies of climate changes in our environments. We thank many participants of this workshop.
